  2. ***********README FILE FOR  HD.INSTALLER***********

  5.   This program will install the following files to
  6. your hard disk, in a directory called
  7. J.I.ULTIMATE-CHESS :
  8.  
  9.           J.I. CHESS TUTOR.
  10.           J.I. CHESS.
  11.  
  12. If you wish to install these files to dh0:, or
  13. dh1:, then simply follow these instructions:
  14.  
  15. 1) Double click on the installer icon.
  16. 2) When the front screen comes up, press 'F1'.
  17. 3) When the installer program asks you where you
  18. would like the files copying to, type 'Y' for
  19. dh0: or 'N' for dh1:
  20.  
  21. The files will then be installed to your H.D.
  22.  
  23.  
  24. If, however, you want to install to dh2: or another
  25. partition, follow these instructions:
  26.  
  27. 1) Do as above, but press 'N' to install to dh1:
  28. 2) Open the window of dh1: and the partiton that you
  29. want the files on, and drag the J.I.ULTIMATE-CHESS
  30. icon into the desired partition.
  31.  
  32. 3) Before you can use the programs, you have to load
  33. up Amigashell and type in the following line:
  34.  
  35. ed dh2:J.I.ULTIMATE-CHESS/HD.script
  36.  
  37. If you have got the files on another partition, then
  38. replace dh2: in the above command line with the new
  39. device name e.g. dh3:, dh4: etc.
  40.  
  41. When the file has loaded, replace all the dh1:'s with
  42. the new device name e.g. dh2:, dh3: etc. When you have
  43. done this, save the file with the same name.
  44.  
  45. Once you have done this, open the J.I.ULTIMATE-CHESS
  46. icon from your hard-drive, then click once on the
  47. J.I.CHESS.TUTOR(HD) icon and go to the information
  48. section in the Workbench menu. Replace the line:
  49.  
  50. from=dh1:J.I.ULTIMATE-CHESS/HD.script
  51.  
  52. with the new device name e.g. dh2:, dh3: etc.  The
  53. programs should now work okay.

  58. You will not be able to run the HD.installer from the
  59. icon, instead, re-boot, hold down CTRL and press D.
  60. Once the disk has stopped, type in:-
  61.  
  62. execute HD.INSTALL
  63.  
  64. The HD.installer should now run okay.
